Shop Owatonna for the Holidays

Shop Owatonna for the Holidays is a sales promotion held during the holiday season – typically November and December – and lasts approximately 30 days.

2008 Schedule: November 13 - December 14

With every purchase a customer makes, they receive a punch on the punch card.  When the card is full ($100 spent), the customer fills in their name and phone number, and deposits it in the business' designated location for full cards.  At the end of the promotion, the business stamps or circles there business name on the back of the cards and turns them into the event coordinator.  Customers can be entered as many times as they spend $100 during the promotion.

When the promotion is complete, and all the cards are handed in, the Chairperson will contact the Board of Directors and set a time for the drawing to be held.

After the drawing, the Chairperson will contact the businesses that had a winning customer(s) and arrange to deliver the specified OBP Buck certificates to the businesses for the winners. The business is then responsible to contact the winner(s) and the newspaper to set up a time for a publicity shoot at the business of the owner/manager handing the winner the OBP Bucks.  ($1,000 in prizes given away)
